Wait, a motorcycle too? Hot Toys brings back the legendary Kamen Rider 1!
To everyone’s surprise, Hot Toys has launched a collectible figure of the original Kamen Rider 1 — and yes, it includes his iconic motorcycle. So how does this new release stack up? Let’s take a look at the official preview.
The Hot Toys team has recreated the legendary tokusatsu hero Kamen Rider 1 from the original 1971 Kamen Rider series in a 1:6 scale collectible figure — the first character in this brand-new lineup.
Portrayed by actor Hiroshi Fujioka, the character “Takeshi Hongo” left a deep impression on audiences with his resolute eyes and calm demeanor — the perfect embodiment of a hero fighting for justice. The Hot Toys design team meticulously studied his facial structure, capturing fine details from hair to features.
The figure is enhanced with independently movable eyeballs to give a vivid, expressive look that truly brings the Showa era to life.
The transformation outfit is crafted from premium black faux leather for a sleek, fitted look. The iconic red scarf is made with embedded wire, allowing it to flow dynamically as if caught in the wind.
Kamen Rider 1’s helmet features silver antennae and special translucent pink LED-lit compound eyes. His blue-green chest armor is finely sculpted with insect-like detailing and weathering effects to enhance realism.
The transformation belt — an essential piece of any Kamen Rider — has been faithfully recreated. Hot Toys presents both the standard and transformation modes, enhanced with a magnetic induction system to activate an LED spinning light effect that simulates the “Typhoon” fan in motion during transformation scenes.
Accessories include an extra Kamen Rider 1 helmet, interchangeable hand parts, a signature crossed-arm pose part, and a special display base with a themed backdrop card.
The specially designed figure body features 30 points of articulation, enabling a wide range of poses — from iconic transformation stances to dramatic airborne “Rider Kick” finishing moves, perfectly recreating scenes from the show.
Kamen Rider 1’s Legendary Ride – Cyclone No.1
The 1:6 scale Cyclone No.1 motorcycle collectible is crafted with great attention to detail. Measuring approximately 35.5 cm in length, it features a classic white body with red accent lines, layered weathering paintwork, and an authentic retro finish.
The front is equipped with a transparent windscreen and two yellow LED headlamps. The bike is decorated with classic “Tachibana Racing Club” emblems and black detail lines.
Hot Toys also engineered detailed mechanical structures, including movable front and rear wheels, a functioning kickstand, and a rear-wheel suspension system with metal springs for added realism. At the rear, six metallic blue exhaust pipes feature red lighting effects — capturing the heroic transformation moment as Kamen Rider 1 races forward on his Cyclone bike.
