In the anime “Kaiju No. 8,” Kikoru Shinomiya is part of the organization known as the Japan Anti-Kaiju Defense Force, or Defense Force for short. Their job is to eliminate giant monsters, known as Kaiju, that wreak havoc on China. Kikoru Shinomiya is known in the organization for her excellent combat abilities, being able to take down hordes of Kaiju by herself. Considered one of the best soldiers, many see as a backbone of the Defense Force’s military might. With the power of a weaponized Kaiju at her disposal (known as Kaiju No. 4) along with her signature giant Axe, AX-0113, very few, if any enemy Kaiju, can stand in her path of destruction. Now, Kotobukiya has brought the character to life in a figure, standing valiantly with her specialized weapon.
The battle suit has been meticulously crafted, allowing appreciation of the Defense Force’s design from any angle. Emphasis has been placed on the realistic finish of the materials.
Kikoru’s distinctive twin-tails have been sculpted with a sense of depth. The specialized weapon, larger than Kikoru herself, is also impressively detailed.
