LAPUTA has released a statue inspired by AKIRA, featuring a futuristic, sci-fi-style motorcycle paired with a ruined cityscape background. With the silhouette of Shotaro Kaneda’s back as the centerpiece, the entire scene looks especially cool!

This statue faithfully recreates the post-explosion ruins of Tokyo as seen in the anime, with extremely rich and detailed sculpting.

The street ruins with crumbling walls form a stark contrast with the cool red motorcycle, and the meticulous weathering effect adds a sense of realism that animation alone cannot convey.

The motorcycle features a scratched and scuffed paint job, with a remarkably refined metallic finish.

Although Shotaro Kaneda himself plays a supporting role in this statue, the sculpting of the folds in his leather jacket and the sharp, backward glance are both incredibly effective and expressive.

This statue from LAPUTA Studios measures 50cm in length, 28cm in width, and 23cm in height, and is limited to only 199 units. It is expected to ship in Q2 2026.

Bold, raw, and iconic—LAPUTA’s AKIRA statue immortalizes Kaneda’s legendary presence and machine. Secure yours before it disappears into the rubble.
