Official Pictures
Before we get started, let’s take a look at the official product photos.
Alright, now that we’ve seen the preview images, let’s move on to the real thing—in-hand review begins now.
Packaging & Parts
The box is relatively compact, though the artwork isn’t quite as striking as the one for Hitsugaya. The inner tray is split into two layers: one for the main figure, base, and Zanpakutō, and another for the sakura effect parts. The effect pieces being separated is a nice touch for flexibility.
Full Body View
The figure can stand on its own, which is always appreciated. The actual height is about 23.8 cm, roughly equivalent to a 1:7.5 scale.
Head Sculpt
The face sculpt is excellent—more refined in hand than it appeared in the official photos. The eyes looked a bit large in the previews, but the real figure has a much more natural and balanced appearance, with no visible weak angles. Honestly, this might be one of the best official Byakuya sculpts we’ve seen to date.
Paintwork & Effects
The paintwork on the hem of the robe includes a soft gradient of pinkish-purple, giving it a subtle ethereal glow. There’s a light metallic effect in the coloring as well, which complements the sakura petal effect parts beautifully.
The sakura effects fade gradually from solid purple-pink to transparent, creating a pleasant visual transition. The base also includes rippling water patterns, which add a nice finishing touch. Overall, the coloring is neat and balanced.
Comparison Shots
We’ve also included a few group shots of Byakuya next to other BLEACH figures for reference and resonance.
This G.E.M. Byakuya left a strong impression, especially in the face sculpt, which is far more striking than the official promo shots suggested. The overall Bankai pose is elegant and balanced, though the sakura effect may divide opinion.
The petal shape doesn’t vary much, and the dense layout may resemble fish scales from some angles. That said, in person, it looks much better—and since the effect parts are modular, you can leave them off or repaint them if desired.
In short, this is a solid BLEACH figure release and a worthy addition to any fan’s collection. We’re definitely looking forward to more G.E.M. BLEACH characters in the future!
