This Dark Magician Girl statue is really quite large…
For both the “Yu-Gi-Oh!” trading cards and manga, “Dark Magician Girl” is a well-known and memorable character. While the anime translates her name as “Black Magician Girl,” the card translation remains “Dark Magician Girl.” In “Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters,” she is depicted as the apprentice of the Dark Magician and one of the signature monsters representing the protagonist, Yugi Muto. Within the Yu-Gi-Oh! anime series, she is uniquely portrayed as a card exclusive to Yugi Muto. Her immense popularity is evident from the abundance of fan-made content featuring her.
Of course, many duelists love the Dark Magician Girl primarily because of her cute appearance and great figure. In the anime, she can be considered a “dumb but adorable” character, which I personally really like.

Today’s unboxing is because I received a package.
Officially licensed 1/6 scale statue of “Dark Magician Girl”
It is a licensed “Yu-Gi-Oh!” statue by Medialink that ShiYueWuTong Studio opened for pre-order last summer. Although I already have several Black Magician Girl figures, I don’t actually own a statue yet, so today’s about unboxing.
Let me share it with everyone.
As always, all the unboxing photos I share are taken under natural lighting conditions. Therefore, due to varying angles of light, there will be noticeable differences in brightness and darkness from different perspectives. But for you, this is exactly how it would look to the naked eye if placed at home, making it quite a reliable reference.
Here’s the streamlined introduction: This officially licensed “Yu-Gi-Oh!” Dark Magician Girl statue by MediaLink is a 1/6 scale collectible, designed and produced by ShiYueWuTong Studio. The official dimensions are height 400mm × length 433mm × width 380mm, with a limited edition of 398 pieces. Made primarily from PU and polystone materials, it has recently started shipping.

From my impression, the pose of the Dark Magician Girl here should be an original design, as there likely isn’t similar artwork on the actual card. The first and most striking impression after unboxing and assembling it is its sheer size—especially the enormous magic circle behind the Dark Magician Girl and the two magic staffs. Although the official description states it’s a 1/6 scale, I personally feel it might be even larger than that. (The comparison with this 500ml beer can makes it quite obvious.)

Because the design opted for a pink color scheme instead of the more familiar black-and-gold magic circle, the entire statue looks very pink and delicate, making it feel perfect for girls to display at home.

One notable feature of the Dark Magician Girl in this pose is her slender legs. Starting with the head sculpt, I personally feel the design is a bit of a disadvantage. Since the statue depicts her with one hand holding her hat while tilting her head upward, viewing it straight on makes the head sculpt seem slightly off. As a result, I ultimately decided to place this statue on a lower shelf in the display case.

To complement the gesture of holding the hat, her hair was designed to flow backward dynamically, just as it passes through the magic circle, making the effect more noticeable from behind.

Actually, the legs are complemented by her iconic boots with pink lines, which add a distinctive touch. Since it’s a 1/6 large-scale figure, the details—such as the fingers and the decorative elements on the clothing—are quite well executed.

This outfit is also part of the iconic look of the Dark Magician Girl, featuring a blue conical hat with pink stripes, a blue off-the-shoulder bustier, a pink miniskirt, and the previously mentioned blue wrist guards and boots adorned with pink accents, along with a small blue wand. Let’s just zoom in for some close-ups.

My understanding of the base primarily consists of three parts: the magic book, the smoke, and the magic circle & magic tube. One aspect of the smoke base that I particularly like is its irregular shape (which I personally favor). Additionally, it creates an illusion of the magic book floating in mid-air.

The magic circle doesn’t use the classic black and gold color scheme from the cards, but instead opts for a pink palette that suits the Dark Magician Girl better—it really does look like a delicious donut.

That concludes the unboxing of the officially licensed “Yu-Gi-Oh!” Dark Magician Girl 1/6 statue designed and produced by ShiYueWuTong Studio. Considering the 1/6 scale, the price is indeed quite reasonable. After all, this is my first Dark Magician Girl statue. So, that wraps up today’s sharing. Since this statue has recently started shipping, I hope my unboxing can provide some helpful insights for fellow collectors. Compared to some mainstream Dark Magician Girl figures, this one has a slightly more mature facial expression, while others tend to be rounder and cuter—it really comes down to personal preference. Thanks for reading. See you next time!
