Held within three crystal slippers are tiny fairies sitting gracefully inside.
After some research, I found that the earliest version of the “glass slipper” traces back to French author Charles Perrault’s Histoires ou contes du temps passé (Tales and Stories of the Past) published in 1697. In this version, Cinderella wore glass slippers, not crystal. Over time, however, for added rarity and fantasy, the imagery evolved into the iconic crystal slippers we associate with Cinderella today.
Still, this change doesn’t affect how naturally “glass slippers” are now linked to Cinderella, becoming symbols of fairy tales, dreams, and romance.
In my last post, I shared WeArtDoing’s Video Tape Girl, which drew a lot of attention from collectors. This time, they’ve launched a new figure series, Glass Slipper Fairies, which should technically be considered part of the same conceptual family—blending girls with special objects.

Thankfully, the Glass Slipper Fairies designs this time lean more toward a pure fairy tale aesthetic, so I can finally share them without having to censor anything.
The new release consists of three variations based primarily on color scheme: Cinderella – Glass Slipper Fairy – Ice Dream, Cinderella – Glass Slipper Fairy – Violet Realm, and Cinderella – Glass Slipper Fairy – Rose Glow. In terms of design, they are nearly identical, differing mainly in color.
Cinderella – Glass Slipper Fairy – Ice Dream is the version that most closely matches our classic image of the glass slipper, crafted with clear resin in an icy blue tone and featuring crystal-cut surfaces to form a high heel. Inside the shoe, a small fairy sits curled up with her knees hugged to her chest. Interestingly, the glass slipper is no longer a constraint; instead, it becomes a crystalline throne for the fairy.
If the piece only featured the fairy alone, it would lose much of its dreamlike feeling. So here, part of the fairy’s body is actively “crystallizing.” Depending on your perspective, it can be interpreted as a fairy being reborn from the crystal, or slowly turning back into crystal itself.
The second variant, Cinderella – Glass Slipper Fairy – Violet Realm, feels like an awakening from a cursed slumber. The fairy’s body features a blue-to-purple gradient paint job, while the glass slipper adopts a deep purplish-red gradient. It sheds a bit of its fairy tale innocence for a more mysterious, enchanted atmosphere.
Finally, there’s Cinderella – Glass Slipper Fairy – Rose Glow, which, just as the official description suggests, evokes “the dazzling atmosphere of a miraculous ball.” The fiery orange-red gradient extends from the fairy’s form into the glass slipper, creating a truly splendid and festive mood.
All three variations include UV-reactive fluorescent paint effects. Additionally, the crystal crown and the fairy figure itself are detachable. This means you could even display just the glass slipper alone if you wanted—it would still look gorgeous.
The dimensions for each figure are approximately 18.3cm (L) × 10cm (W) × 17.4cm (H). They are limited to 498 pieces worldwide, and are expected to ship in Q1 2026.
Whether it’s the icy serenity of Ice Dream, the mysterious beauty of Violet Realm, or the passionate glow of Rose Glow, WeArtDoing’s Glass Slipper Fairies series offers a stunning reinterpretation of the timeless fairy tale. With resin-crafted elegance and dreamlike detail, each piece captures a fleeting moment between transformation and magic.
Which glass slipper would you choose to cradle your dreams?
