From Brother Pig to Bratty Beauty – The Wild Charm of Tian Peng in Plastic!
The first release in the Journey to Elysium figure series, a collaboration between Fish Toys Studio and Nuclear Gold Reconstruction, has finally hit the shelves! Although it faced some delays, this 1/9 scale Tian Peng figure arrives with impressive quality—especially in the seamless, soft vinyl body that’s both detailed and delightfully expressive. Let’s dive into the unboxing!

Packaging & Accessories Overview
Through the transparent window of the box, you can already spot the figure wrapped with layers of protective film. Official promo images adorn the back and sides of the packaging.

All included accessories are neatly laid out.

The pig-head hat features LED-powered lanterns with magnetic sensors hidden in the tassels (requires CR927 button batteries). Tap twice to activate a glowing fade-in/fade-out effect.

There are also three mini steamed buns and a bamboo steamer, adding a playful touch.

The base stand builds upon Nuclear Gold Reconstruction’s classic design, now upgraded with stone-texture paint, engraved decorative borders, and a storage drawer underneath. The co-branded logo is printed on the bottom.

The five-point articulated support arm is extremely helpful for posing and balancing the figure dynamically.

The Heavenly General, Tian Peng~chan
Standing approximately 22 cm tall, this reimagined version of Tian Peng flips the traditional “Pigsy” image on its head. With her boar-pelt hat and mischievous grin, she’s more bratty gremlin than mythological general—and all the better for it. You can almost hear her teasing Sun Wukong with a cheeky “loser~ loser~.”

The pig-head hat and red tassels are made from flexible PVC, detailed with fur texture, tusks, and gold engravings. Due to its weight, it’s best to place it on last after posing.

Once removed, you’ll notice a fluffy ahoge atop her purple-blue hair. Her wild outfit helps show off the seamless body’s sculpted musculature, especially around the waist, chest, and back—a mix of raw strength and anime aesthetic.

The leather armor is sculpted with a relatively realistic touch, and the paintwork adds smooth shading for a natural light-to-dark gradient. Around her neck, she wears a necklace adorned with sculpted fangs—just the right accent for her wild vibe. Framed by the darker outer armor, the soft muscle contours on her waist, back, chest, and abs stand out even more.
(P.S. – Good news: the chest is soft and the outfit isn’t glued down. Bad news: it’s still not removable.)

Included in the set are four different facial expressions—neutral, smiling, angry, and blushing—all with movable eyeballs. The joints in the eyes are fairly tight, so a metal adjustment tool is provided for safe and easy eye alignment.

Shoulder joints are reinforced with internal metal rods, giving her arms solid and flexible mobility. Lateral arm lifts can reach 90 degrees, and forward/backward swings approach 180 degrees. When posing her arms upward, you can even see slight compression and skin-like movement around the armpits. The elbow and wrist joints follow a standard action figure design, offering reliable and straightforward articulation for posing.

Between the upper thighs and the sheer black stockings lies a well-defined “absolute zone,” with distinct paint finishes applied to the skin, tights, and kneepads, each with its own texture for added realism. Thanks to the flexible soft vinyl body, the hip joints feature a drop-down structure, allowing for a forward kick of up to 90 degrees and a side kick of around 60 degrees.

Given Tian Peng-chan’s barefoot design, the set also includes two different styles of interchangeable bare feet, perfectly catering to the preferences of more… detail-oriented collectors.

The figure’s main weapon is the classic Nine-Tooth Rake, now reimagined with a boar-head motif and made from soft plastic for safety. The weapon features rubberized rake teeth and a hand-weathered paint job that gives off a worn metallic texture. Thanks to the excellent articulation and balance of the figure, dramatic weapon poses are easy to achieve, whether she’s sweeping the battlefield or showing off in a cheeky display.

This version of Tian Peng breaks every expectation in the best possible way—part myth, part mischief, and full of charm. With detailed sculpting, LED effects, and a flexible soft vinyl body, she’s one of the most personality-packed figures you’ll find. If this is how Journey to Elysium begins, we can’t wait to see where it takes us next.
