This latest release comes in two different color variants: Sleeping Beauty Fries Fairies – Original Tomato and Sleeping Beauty Fries Fairies – Wasabi Seaweed. Of course, as the ultimate companion to French fries, the ketchup-inspired version will probably be the first choice for most collectors—including myself.
The bright red ketchup transforms into the girl’s elegant long dress, while even the bow is designed to resemble a splash of ketchup. Her golden hair naturally blends with the cascading fries, creating a harmonious composition. The fries container sitting on top of her head almost resembles a hat, yet the overall design also captures the dynamic feeling of both the girl and the fries pouring downward together.
After all, French fries are a treat that almost nobody can resist, so the girl’s facial expression is sculpted with gently pursed lips, giving her a subtly tempting appearance.
There are also several particularly interesting design elements. The first is that the fries container is a magnetic accessory. Once removed, it can be replaced with a pair of tomato-colored cat ears. Well, it seems cat girls really never go out of style.
The second fun feature is the inclusion of several Sauce Slimes. These are also magnetic accessories that can be positioned freely. In the official promotional images, some of them are even sneaking bites of the fries, making the overall display surprisingly adorable.
The second color variant is called Sleeping Beauty Fries Fairies – Wasabi Seaweed, featuring a predominantly green color palette. It isn’t exactly an unusual flavor combination anymore, as many restaurants have offered wasabi seaweed fries over the years. The slightly spicy wasabi sauce paired with seaweed seasoning is clearly reflected throughout the paint application.
Although it doesn’t follow the classic “yellow and red” fries-and-ketchup combination, the finished statue looks exceptionally attractive.
Personally, I think the light green Sauce Slimes and matching cat ears are even cuter.
Since both versions share the same sculpt and differ only in their paint schemes, they have identical dimensions of 12.9 cm (L) × 13.4 cm (W) × 11.8 cm (H). There are also in-hand photos available below for size reference.
