This latest release once again features two new statues, both designed and produced based on original illustrations. The two versions are the pink-themed Cake Fairies Series Strawberry Fairy, which closely follows the original artwork, and the green-themed Cake Fairies Series Matcha Fairy.
The overall style of both pieces, including the sculpt and paint application, has been faithfully recreated from the original illustrations. One of the most noticeable features is the pair of long twin tails made of whipped cream, along with the pleated skirt, both of which display an obvious creamy texture.
Since the character is named Cake Fairies Series Strawberry Fairy, strawberry decorations can be found throughout the skirt. One particularly interesting detail is that the hair rings used to secure the twin tails are actually modeled after whipped cream piping nozzles in the original artwork, and this detail has been accurately reproduced in the final statue.
The green-colored Cake Fairies Series Matcha Fairy is also based on the original illustration, replacing many of the pink elements with refreshing matcha green tones. For collectors who enjoy matcha-themed designs and green color palettes, this version feels especially refreshing for the summer season.
Although the strawberry decorations remain, the darker red strawberries have been replaced with softer pink-and-white strawberries to create a more harmonious overall appearance without feeling too visually overwhelming.
One detail from the original artwork that caught my attention is the decorative frosting pattern on the fairy’s legs. I specifically checked the finished statue, and those intricate details have been completely preserved. Personally, though, with temperatures reaching around 40°C this summer, I find the refreshing Matcha version even more appealing.
Since both statues share the same overall sculpt, their dimensions are identical, measuring 25.2 cm (L) × 15.2 cm (W) × 25.5 cm (H). Judging from the in-hand promotional photos, they’re actually quite substantial in size.
The whipped cream twin tails feature a magnetic attachment system, allowing them to be freely removed, likely to make display inside cabinets more convenient for collectors. The accompanying cake plate base can also be freely assembled and disassembled.
