WeArtDoing Sweet Catfish – Coral Sea & Moonfin
This new release also comes in two versions. The previous salmon design gave off a delicate and pitiful charm, while today’s sweet shrimp designs bring a more playful and soft, adorable feeling. The designs incorporate the expressions of cats, the antennae of shrimp, and their tail fins, making them look like ingredients one moment and little fairies the next. The color scheme of the first version, Sweet Catfish – Coral, is entirely inspired by the natural colors of sweet shrimp as a food.
Sweet Catfish – Coral Sea
One particularly interesting detail is how part of the sweet shrimp has been transformed into her “braided pigtails.” It really does give her the appearance of sweet shrimp sashimi. Just like the previous salmon design, she has legs, while the food-inspired element becomes her tail. As a result, she also has a little “shrimp tail” that curls upward.
Sweet Catfish – Moonfin
The other colorway, Sweet Catfish – Moonfin, has actually moved beyond the color palette associated with “ingredients.” Not only has the main color scheme changed to a gradient of blue, green, and purple, but her eye colors in particular give the impression of colors belonging to the ocean.
At first, I thought the second version would use the grayish-black color of shrimp. I didn’t expect them to ultimately choose a deeper, more mysterious blue instead.
Cat Paw Details and Shrimp-Inspired Dagger
If you look closely, you’ll notice that the soles of her feet still feature the paw pads of a cat. This preserves an element of the cat theme in the design.
She can also hold a small dagger in her hand. Interestingly, the dagger itself is entirely designed around shrimp-shell elements. Doesn’t it give you a feeling of “dangerously delicious”?
The two versions have the same exterior design and dimensions. The official measurements are 14 cm (L) × 15.2 cm (W) × 16 cm (H).
Each version is limited to 499 pieces worldwide. Overall, the pricing and production quantities are not much different from those of previous releases. Shipping is expected in December 2026.
As usual, the custom sushi display stand shown in the official promotional images is only available as a bonus when you All In and purchase both versions of the Cat Salmon series. Otherwise, this display stand will not be included.
