This new work is called Sleeping Beauties Cthulhu Girl, and it comes in three different colorways and design styles.
Of course, the dark green-themed Sleeping Beauties Cthulhu Girl – Abyss Bloom is naturally the most representative color design of the Cthulhu and tentacle-inspired style. From the design, we can see a little girl with her eyes closed, quietly singing. However, the small green wings behind her and the dark green tentacles extending from beneath her skirt immediately bring out the signature elements of the Cthulhu Mythos style.

WeArtDoing has made so many girl characters by now that they have clearly become quite skilled at it. I already have several of their girl figures in my collection. WeArtDoing also released fantastical creature pieces from the canned series quite early on, and this Cthulhu release once again brings back an element that I personally really like.
The second colorway
The second colorway also belongs to the Cthulhu Mythos style. Sleeping Beauties Cthulhu Girl – Phantom Blue is primarily designed around oceanic blue tones.
Cthulhu is originally set within the sunken abyssal city of R’lyeh. Compared with the green version, I feel that the blue paintwork does indeed create a much calmer feeling. It doesn’t have the same eerie and terrifying atmosphere as the green version.
Sleeping Beauties Cthulhu Girl – Crimson Tide uses a crimson color scheme that is less commonly seen in Cthulhu-inspired designs. Perhaps the intention was to create an illusory feeling, similar to something lingering within a dream. For those who enjoy crimson aesthetics, this should be an appealing choice.
More than just recoloring
If you look carefully, you’ll notice that the three versions aren’t simply recolors. From the girl’s hair color and the color of her stockings to the gradient colors of the tentacles, the artwork printed on the can, and even the liquid dripping from the opening of the can, each version has its own different color design.
All three versions share the same dimensions. The official measurements are 17.7 cm (L) × 20.3 cm (W) × 18.8 cm (H).
