Cycling Ash – A.M. Sandsculpture Studios
Cycling Ash – A.M. Sandsculpture Studios: Before we saw Ash Ketchum on his globe-trotting journey to become the Pokémon Champion, he was just starting out in Pallet Town, with a big ambition to be the very best. When Professor Oak gave him his first Pokémon, Pikachu, their journey started off very rough. However, in the dramatic first episode, we see both of them get attacked by a flock of Spearow.
Pikachu becomes exhausted, forcing Ash to carry it while they try to run away. Later, they meet up with fellow trainer Misty, who Ash ends up taking her bike in order to run away from the flock, with Pikachu on the basket. A large thunderstorm soon caused both of them to fall off. Not wanting to leave behind his first Pokémon, Ash decides to take the flock head on, only for Pikachu to intervene and unleash a massive thunder attack, causing the flock to flee. They become inseparable after this, starting an unbreakable friendship and many life-changing adventures to come.
A.M. Sandsculpture Studios has launched a statue from this first episode, known as “Cycling Ash” which recreates the iconic bike scene. It shows the attention to detail, such as Ash pedaling furiously and sparks flying as they make their dramatic escape.
This Cycling Ash diorama stands 43 cm tall, and the dynamic composition emphasizes the sense of crisis and speed in the moment. Ash’s tense expression as he pedals is captured with precision, while the limp Pikachu in the basket contrasts sharply with the threatening flock of Spearow in the stormy, lightning-filled background.
The flames and lightning in the scene have built-in LED lights that can illuminate, with a flash mode that simulates real lightning.
The Cycling Ash statue by A.M. Sandsculpture Studios is very limited, with only 108 being made. With such a small quantity, now is a great opportunity to pre-order a piece of the Pokémon episode that started it all. For fans of Pokémon, we highly recommend keeping an eye on this figure!
