Today, I came across a newly announced statue from a studio called Honey Select Studio. The studio has revealed the 1/6 scale Yua Mikami “Pure White Gratitude” statue.
Speaking of Yua Mikami, her name has long become a household name. According to the studio, this project is described as:
“Honey Select Studio joins hands with the legendary goddess Yua Mikami to present the brand-new collector’s piece Pure White Gratitude. This project pays tribute to the legendary star’s retirement with a wedding dress-inspired design.”
However, after looking through the official promotional images released today, I have to say that it’s not that I can’t recognize faces, but this statue doesn’t seem to resemble Yua Mikami all that much.
According to information provided by the studio, the 1/6 scale Pure White Gratitude statue stands approximately 28 cm tall and will be available in three different editions.
The first is the Version A – Wedding, which is the version shown in these promotional images.
The second is Version B – featuring a bikini outfit.
Finally, there’s Version C, which includes both Version A and Version B as a bundle. Since these are statues rather than articulated figures, the outfits cannot be swapped between versions.
Honey Select Studio’s officially licensed Yua Mikami statue certainly stands out with its multiple editions, attractive pricing, and generous exclusive bonuses. However, the figure’s facial likeness is likely to remain the biggest talking point among collectors. Whether the commemorative concept and bonus items outweigh that concern will ultimately depend on individual preferences. Regardless, this release has already sparked plenty of discussion within the collectible statue community.
