Hyoma Chigiri is one of the contenders for Blue Lock. Known nationwide for his incredible speed during his middle and high school years, he earned the nickname “Genius Striker” but had to give up soccer after tearing his knee ligament in a match. A second tear would mean he could never play again.
He entered Blue Lock to find a reason to extinguish his passion for soccer and completely give up the sport. He and Isagi Yoichi were assigned to Building 5, Team Z. However, he was tricked by Anri Teieri as Blue Lock only has one building.
He is the fastest person in Blue Lock, able to sprint 50 meters in 5.77 seconds, allowing him to chase his own passes and score.
Due to his feminine appearance, pink hair, and independent personality, people usually mistake him for a girl, though he normally reiterates with “I’m a guy.” Nevertheless, with his incredible speed and practically unrivaled skill, he is praised for being one of the best players in the series. No injury will slow down his momentum!
